XPages is a global technology, one of the most important pieces of developing open source software is to localize your source code. Any strings that are going to be visible to the end user will need to be localized. There are two pieces to the XPages runtime string localization tool. The first being a UI tool can be installed into your Eclipse IDE which allows you to tags strings by analyzing your plug-in source code. The second part of the tool is a jar that can be used in automated build to pull out the strings that have been tagged for localization into a properties file for each plug-in so that those properties files can then be sent for translation.
